Jackson Monument
Highway 103 in front of Clear Creek Secondary school. George J. Jackson
made the first major gold discovery in Colorado here on January 7, 1859.

Mount Evans Scenic Byway
Highway 103. Open memorial Day to Snow Fall closing. The highest paved road in North America, 14,264 feet at the summit. Opportunities for viewing Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goats, as well as bristlecone pines and alpine tundra. Spectacular views of the Continental Divide. Fee charged.
